The Grand Californian

Okay, so we did it – booked the Grand Californian for our next trip to Disneyland during the Food & Wine Festival. Although we attended the F&W Festival at Epcot at WDW for several years in a row while living in Florida, this will be our first time experiencing the one at Disneyland. We can’t wait.

We love wine country, having lived in the SF Bay Area with frequent trips to Napa/Sonoma and we even lived in the Oregon Wine Country. And during our most recent trip to Disneyland, we experienced an exquisite Chef’s Dinner with wine pairings at the incredible Napa Rose.

As a native Californian with family members living in the luscious growing regions of the Central Valley, I wanted to post this fun fact I found on the Disneyland site:

The Central Valley of California has become the richest farming region in the history of the world.

California has an estimated 570,000 acres of wine grapes. Chardonnay is the variety with the largest acreage.
